So the experiment with "Easy Paint Tool SAI" is at an end. the workflow other than botching the vector usage with just tablet, seems to be very similar to working with Photoshop, by way of Flash, in that layers are ink on top shadows and highlights in the middle and flat colors at the bottom. I took a round of custom sticker designs recently, and decided to go ahead an upload the results! Each of these is a design that can be made into a variety of sizes of die-cut (cut around the image) stickers. Customers design their sticker for between $25 - $45, then order however many stickers they want in sizes between 2" and 5". One person ordered a set of five designs, so I have them a free design! Original Links: 2001: http://thrivis.deviantart.com/art/2001-Harper-127505280 Drawing this was... humbling.... because for a long time it looked the same as before. I have not studied animal anatomy very much, even when I draw so many animal characters. A lot of the original drawing I really just... don't understand what I was thinking in the first place. It's a gross arbitrary color, for sure. But I kept the color, thinking maybe I could rescue some sort of pokemon flare it kind of has. The pose is pretty impossible, so I had to redraw that to the max. But um, yeah... interesting to see how my approach to drawing an animal character concept has changed.
