vizon:thanks and yes I know just what you mean about them being really big I drive buy a ranch almost evey day I just cant get that close. wulffrith: wow thanks. well here he is for the ferst time, not really what I had in mind but its better then what I tought I cold do.I really dont like that left arm.

Hey Legathin, I have to say keep up the good work. I really enjoy looking at all your sketches, your characters look like they have a lot of personality and I love the expressions on their faces.

Great! Legathin you are surely determined to hone your skill :D I congratulate you on your hard work and enthusiasm. Now remember - the more buffalo you draw, the easier it will get and the more naturally their form will come to you. Here is a conglomeration of a series of bison photos I took at Yellowstone last August - feel free to use them if you think it will help. I know there are tons more if you do a google search too - from the front, different shades, different types. As for your first sketch I might suggest making your horns a little thicker and a little more behind the eye (males have thicker horns than females keep in mind). Also I'd beef up that hind quarter a bit more. Though they can weigh up to a TON, that's almost all muscle - able to run 35 mph and leap 6-foot fences. So don't be afraid to pack on the bulk when it comes to musculature. But keep 'em lean - they're wild, agile animals.

Why don't you do a buffalo study right here in your sketchbook? That's what it's for, after all - practice and feedback - showing the process and working on refining your technique. I would suggest looking up various bison/buffalo images and sketching them from various angles - post that. This site's all about helping each other learn how to improve and develop as artists!

Ya I like him too, hes always makeing crazy new inventions that half the time don't work.And befor I do any more of the buffalo I'll have to study them and make up a name... might take awhile :/

Ha ha! I like the pyro fox. I also think you should develop your buffalo guy more - with the axe. I'm all for buffalo minotaur types, you know.

as I read my story line I did off the top of my head I think its kind of boreing. So in order to make it more interesting I added 5 more caraters. And here is the drawing I did basted on the raw idea of legathin and his team the next drawing is on its way.If you see anything direly wrong with it tell me i know there is alot so just say the one that stands out the most.sorry my scaner sreched it a little bit.

Yay Pirates! Speaking of art droughts, I think a pirate being marooned on an island also is a good way to say you have art block, lol.
