First "sketchbook" post! I love this section, this will be great! =)

Please, any and all feedback is more than welcome! I want constructive critique if people have any to offer! =)

My 2 first sketchbook uploads:

Hand study

Otterfox

Jackrabbit study. Trying to get a better anatomical understanding of my old fursona, Kynliod (Kyn).

And a sketch of Kyn. The ears have issues. Still trying to get comfortable with jackrabbit ears. =P

Cool, really nice sketches so far! Been trying to sketch RL animals lately but not going so well. ;) Can't wait to see more from you.

Thanks, K! =) I just googled "Jackrabbit" and found some great reference photos. =) Jackrabbits are way more "psycho" looking than I realized. Their natural design is ideal for creating a, shall we say, eccentric character. Kyn doesn't really fit that bill, but some of them looked pretty laid back, so... ;D

Nifty sketches. Jackrabbits are fun to draw, they're so lanky and springy.

"Wasting time like we've all the time in the world."

Thank you, Celty! Yeah, Jackrabbits are very dramatic, which is always fun to draw. They make good characatures (sp?)--heck, they practically already are characatures! Hehe. =D

"Bleagh!"

I'm hoping to get some redline on this one, so I'm gonna hightail it over to that section of the forums. I need tons of practice with more dramatic poses.

Really love the work on the hand sketches
hehe the expression on the newest sketch amuses me

Thank you! =)

The jackrabbit sketches are neat!
In your hand studies, I noticed that you tend to make the thumb too small, and have some trouble aligning the finger joints and knuckles. Perhaps this is something you can keep in mind next time you do hand sketches. :)

Thank you, Nocte! Yeah, hands are a big weakness of mine. Hands and feet. Fists especially.

Do you know where I could get my hands on skeletal diagrams of the hand in different poses? The only ones I've found are just the hand sitting there flat, and it's not helping me see just how the joints work/where they are placed. I'm not a technically minded person to begin with, so it's a real struggle for me to work out those kinds of problems in my mind. I have to see it before I get it. =P

Hehe, I like the expressions on the fox. Can't wait for more.

Thanks, Java!

A sketch from yesterday. It's supposed to be an African Wild Dog, but the ears came out looking like mouse ears or something. =P Oh well.

Some human eye/nose sketches. There's a rabbit eye thrown in too. From yesterday again. ETA: One of the eyes kinda looks like a cross between human and rabbit, hehe.

The full page from which I took those eye/nose sketches. I just wanted to clean up and highlight some of them because I do this thing with my sketchbook where I roll it around, so things end up being drawn upside down and junk. Hehe.

OK, so this is funny. I opened up my human anatomy for the artist book (weighs about 50 lbs, ha), which I had packed away in the garage for several years. I started flipping through the pages and these 2 sheets of paper fall out. Each had a 2-panel comic on them. Honestly, I have *no* idea what these were supposed to become, no memory of drawing them, nothing. I can tell I drew them, you know how you can just tell and recognize your own work. But anyway whatever the stories were supposed to be developed into may or may not have been interesting, but one thing's for sure. Freestanding, these 2 two-panel comics are hilarious on their own.

...and the second two-panel comic, as mentioned in my previous posting. This one's my personal favorite. Hee hee.

Wow, some nice shading in there I think. Good head angle of the guy laying in the hospital(?) bed too. Should start some comic panels up again!
