Sketch for what'll hopefully be one of the badges over at FurFright. Hehe. Had to cut off the wing and futz with the sizing of it all to fit onto the frame better. Saturday deadline, oh nos. :)

Yeah, me too, I've barely picked up a pencil in the last few weeks. I just moved, so between work, unpacking, and the Olympics (yup, I love 'em), I just haven't had time!

Kitties are monsters I'm telling ya!! Hehe. Thanks though! Still didn't get chance to ink it. I've just been so busy past couple weeks. I'm eating dinner like 10 p.m. each night. :P I stink at time management. Hehe.

Sketching out something to submit to FurFright's con book. Had gotten some art in there last year and even for one of the badges which was really cool. ^.^ See if can happen again.

Whoo, back from FA:U and trying to take advantage of my new found inspiration by trying another species that I really like but haven't drawn in a decade, otters. :D Used very little reference for the pose at least and came out not too bad for it. Either the far eye or the near eye seems off though but not sure which. ^.^

Ugh, I know what you mean about texturing. I feel totally lost when it comes to that. I think his colors are coming along nicely though. =)

Trying to color this thing now trying some different methods and brushes but I dunno. Was hoping for better though I don't know clothing well enough to get it looking how I want and the fur texture is coming out kinda eh. Having one of those days that makes me wanna give up on drawing. :P I won't, but just feels like want to. Hehe.

Actually sent the picture to a friend of mine in Spain (where they know soccer/football!) and he said yeah, kinda looks like he's just standing still about to kick the ball instead of running in for it like I wanted, so you were right! :)

Well, don't take my word for it. I could very well be wrong. Actually, there's a pretty strong chance I am wrong, considering I haven't studied movement at all. =P

I.....really dunno. Hehe. That's a good point though, I'll check on a few reference pictures to see. Maybe the heel only would be more planted and toes up. :) My guess is that his hips are probably too horizontal too and actually his legs are a bit of a different length at the moment. -.- That's going to be bit of a pain to fix. Hehe. Thanks!

Almost didn't sketch today but then smacked myself and got to it. Hehe. Trying for something showing a little more action. I don't know clothing folds 'n stuff well enough to make this look good I'm afraid, but might try some of the art books recently suggested in that other forum. Either way pretty happy with it for a sketch, needs work though.

7/15/08 - Sketch of a badge that I'll be working on for a friend of mine. Was thinking of having it in two pieces with a bit of twin to connect them. Had seen that before on a couple badges and thought it'd fit this idea well. Hehe. 7/16/08 - Update and did inking on it at least. :D

7/9/08 - Wanted to put this here for posterity. :D My first badge! Dusted off the old portable light table and microns and transferred yesterday's picture onto Bristol and actually colored with markers and pencil. Now I understand what people mean when I hear them say the scanner eats the colors. Looks better in RL, honest. Not great, but better. :P :)

I plan to hit up FA:U in Jersey. *crosses fingers* If money is good. I'd LOVE to go to Fur Fright, but it is the travel expenses that kill me really. *le sigh* I do have good friends up MA ways though that might spot me room and board. ;) dun know. Yeah I'm in Norristown, just west of Philly, near the KoP Mall. :) We so need to get together and just hang out. :) ~ Seriously your female figures are very well worked up. Look better then mine! lol :)

Awwwww you stop. :P I stink still. Hehe. But oh yeah I graduated back in 2000 actually. :) Has a short stink up in NYC even with Jumbo but project work so went from there to unemployment for a bit. ;) Kinda gave up on art as a full-time job too I'm afraid. I worry too much to go living from project to project. Seems more fun when don't have to do it in order to eat. ;D You in Philly still or where you at? I dunno if they still have the open drawing there though I wouldn't doubt it. I found a place in New Brunswick, NJ that has male and female open life drawing for just $10 a night which isn't too bad for a good few hours. Would hit that more often myself though onna Monday and it's about 50 min. drive for me. You hitting FA:U or FurFright or any local cons? Would love catching up with you again, it's been years. :)

7/8/08 - Taking a shot at doing a badge for a friend of mine. Hehe. Just inked on the computer but going to dust off the old light table tomorrow and get it over onto some card stock and try some traditional coloring with it. Trying for something new.
