ART JAM!

WHAT: The unofficial ArtSpots/JaxPad art jam!

WHEN: Wednesday, September 12th, starting at 6pm PDT

WHERE: IRC, in channel #ArtSpots

WHO: Hopefully all of you! It is open to anyone who has a JaxPad or ArtSpots account.

HOW: Just log in to Artspots/Jaxpad, then click the Chat tab. Alternately, if you want to sign in using an IRC program, point it to irc.anthrochat.net, port 6667, then once signed on, /join #ArtSpots.

THE NITTY-GRITTY: Basically, this is just a fun chat environment for us to doodle, talk about trivial things, and decompress from the week. Art competitions and Paintchats sometimes happen (hosts permitting), but generally it's just casual and silly. :3 Come ready to draw (i.e. have your tablet plugged in, or your scanner ready, or whatever.) ;3

Curse my being 8 hours ahead of PDT :( Less it lasts into early morning for me I'm once again stuck.

Hm.. perhaps we could hold two jams a week, each jam with a slightly different time setting to accommodate people not on PCT, or switch off every other week in regards to time?

I'd be all for picking a secondary time or night! I usually head to LA on Fridays (1-2 hour drive) and 6pm is usually when I leave. :(

Wednesday's not good for me, unfortunately. I probably won't be able to take part in this one. Friday's good though. And an early time on Saturday would work for a large number of people I bet.

We often have ArtJams on Fridays too, starting around 10pm EST. The Wednesday one was created to accommodate the people who couldn't attend on Fridays. :D

And hey! If you want to start your own chat event, why not come into the chat and discuss it? I'm all for promoting more art jams and events in the chat. They're tons of fun.

Oooo! Yay! Wednesday at 6 is totally do-able for me. I haven't been able to do the Friday ones since I have work that night. But yay! Now I can join in the fun, too! :D

Again, that is in the middle of the night for me so till there is one more eveningy for me (Currently GMT+1 till the clocks go back), I'm unfortantely forced out.

could someone tell me what that is in gmt right now? i can do it, but i need to know when it is, heh. (;

In pure GMT that's 7 hours ahead, 8 hours in GMT+1 which is daylight savings in effect in the UK till it switches back an hour again.

h'okay, so that's... 2am thursday, then? i've been invited to a soirée on wednesday night, so now i can go out and still artparty. totally bummed that i don't have a graphics tablet any more, at least my scanner's still good.

Aye, bit too early in the morning really if you need to be up early.

ha, i'm fine, actually. i have another week until class starts, so i'm spending this week bumming around and enjoying the last of my easy late nights (rather than the ones i'll end up doing class work until stupid o'clock in the morning, heh).
