Sadly just ATM my car and new apartment are conspiring to eat up my extra cash. I'm mid way through the first commission (that one's paid for,) but dude... I'll definitely be working to get more soon! I plan on doing my bedroom up in these and my walls are so bear it makes me sad. :( Some commedia is just what it needs to liven up the place!

I'll be coming back and sending out individual inquiries once I get refunded (probably sometime after the 15th.)

Emerald Sage: Sorry about my silence. Move-in day turned out to be more involved than expected. Will get in touch with you via private email after work this evening.

NeoGeen: Thanks for the tip. Point of fact I did make use of that useful feature. Sadly, it is also where I came up against some incidence of people's actual status not matching what they claimed to be on this website. Also, what I'm looking for lurks between the grey area of a conbadge and a traditional drawing, so I had to send inquiry letters anyway in most cases.

Everyone Else: Thanks for your interest! Right now I have to wait for moving costs to all make themselves known (the money for my first one is already hanging out in paypal from earlier, but I need to evaluate my new financial pattern to see how and when I have fun-money.) I'll be getting back to you folks for sure once I get settled in!

You can look at milokey.deviantart.com for more info, but they're on 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 cardstock at $15
I've never heard of Commedia dell'Arte before though, so I'll have to look that up. Looks very interesting and fun though.

As for real media, I am actually better with it then digital and more comfortable so it wont be a problem.

I was lucky enough to actually play a female Brighella. Actually made her a female innkeeper. Was lot of fun ^__^

If you want to contact me on AIM my SN is Flaradash! This should be a really fun project.

A kid actually barfed? Wow...So question...Do you have a set script that you like your players to work from or are you more the sort to just give storylines? Both are so much fun I just like hearing what others have done ^__^

Oh wow! Nice to meet a fellow player! I can feel you on playing male characters- I lost my Pantalone like a day before our first public performance. Even though I am perhaps the polar opposite of what Pantalone should be it came off really well. We had one little boy who had to be taken out by his mom because he couldn't stop laughing and got sick and barfed in the hallway. Gotta love kids. :P

I'd be happy to work with someone who's so enthusiastic about it. Are you ok with traditional media or do you strongly prefer digital?

I'm going to be hectically busy tomorrow as I'm moving the bulk of my things into my new apartment, but just as soon as I can I'll get more specific references for Rezzit to you via email. Is your contact also your paypal or no?

Oh my god XD

This is right up my alley I know all about Commedia dell'Arte. I have actually performed in several shows done in that style! I always end up playing Brighella! Yes I know that Brighella is typically a man, but the people I have worked with actually like the idea of playing that character in a Bette Midler (in Hocus Pocus) kind of style.

Commedia dell'Arte is SOOOO much fun. I had to do one show were we didn't have the masks so I actually had to paint the masks on their faces...and make them look real XD

Was a lot of work but really fun!!!

This sounds like a super fun project! I'd be willing to take it up if you're okay with that ^__^

Oh, as far as cost goes, it would probably be about $20 or so per character if it's badge size. You can email me at only_sailor_x@yahoo.com

Hello. I do hope this is permissible in this forum. There is no commercial section so I guessed at the appropriate placement.

I'm looking for a commission. I don't know if it's my timing or my subject matter but I'm having a doosy of a time finding an interested artist. I've had so many problems with websites, Jaxpads, deviantarts, etc all conflicting with one another over commission status. Even if they agree I've had artists contradict the status when contacted or just never reply to my inquiry. This would be something I'd chalk up to unavailability if said sites not show the most recent login of the artist.

I'll stop there (I'm not frustrated, really!) However, I think it would be much better for everyone if I just gave interested parties a chance to speak up. Maybe there's someone out there for whom this is right up their alley!

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking to collect (over time,) a series of small and loose images, ranging from tiny to roughly the size of a conbadge to approximately 8.5x11 inches. The two themes are:

1) Anthropomorphic Animals.
2) Commedia dell'Arte.

Commedia dell'Arte is an early Italian stock comedy performance style. I'm a big fan as I once directed a troupe of commedia players.

RIGHT now I'm hoping to start with a small image of my character with a commedia theme. Said character is 'Rezzit the Okapi Gryphon.' The commedia theme could be interpreted in a number of ways and I leave it up to individual artist style whether they'd like me to be specific or to leave it up to his/her artistic instincts. I'd me happy to go either way.

In the future I'll be looking to get more pieces. Many commedia characters have associated animals. Two different ways of playing Arlecchino for instance is defined as the 'fox' and the 'monkey.'

Please notify here if you are interested (I'll be checking back!) Traditional media is preferred as the point is that I'm mad to have some real art (and not prints) on my walls. Please do include an estimated price range based on the following specs:

* Roughly conbadge size, give or take a little. I specifically want this one small because for some reason I want my own little character there but i want it to be able to kind of 'hide' in the grouping later on.
* Real media preferred.
* I'm looking for something that's more on the loose and fun side rather than the meticulously detailed minature side. I don't want this to be a headache for you. Commedia's no fun if you're not having fun.

:P Please also include preferred contact information in case I can't commission now but would like to check your future status. I'm only looking for one NOW, but once my move is over next week I'm going to be on the lookout for available folks pretty regularly for some time.

Thanks so much, and Kudos if you made it through all this!
