Art Raffle! :)

Hi there, everyone! Thanks to the help of some very generous folk here on ArtSpots (CaptainQ and Armaina, to be specific), I've decided to kick-start my very own art raffle! Here are the specifics..

TICKETS are $1 each. You can buy as many or as few as you want! My Paypal address is ikewagner[at]gmail.com - If you purchase any tickets, please do include your ArtSpots username in the subject so that I know what name to attach to the tickets. :)

1st place winner will receive a fully inked, custom illustration of their choice (such as the one linked above)! The prize will be mailed out to the winner, of course! I may also include a 2nd and 3rd place prize depending on how this progresses.

This offer will end on December 10th. The winner will also be drawn and announced on the same day!

Sudan Red - Thank you! :) Creating art is actually what I do for a living, so when I take commissions or do things like this, I'm just trying to raise money for necessities like food, gas, etc.

Nimblebun - Yes! Thank you so much!! That was so generous of you. *HUUUG* I knew it was for me, 'cause you put 'for you' on the little bag. XD It is such a cute and tiny charm, it is amazing how you got all of those tiny details into such a small space!

I'm really hoping not to be a buzz kill, but aren't cash-for-prizes raffles illegal? Granted, I found that out only -after- I did a raffle myself a while back, and it depends on where you live I believe and unfortunately where I am it is. XD I ask just out of my own curiosity, mind! I love raffles though so I'll probably buy a ticket or two later today. :)

Ack, I forgot to mention that in my post! Yes, you are absolutely correct- Some states have declared raffles to be illegal. Most states, however, consider them legal under certain circumstances, or as long as certain rules are followed. For example, my state allows raffles as long as specific information is provided, i.e. what the prize (or prizes) is, when the raffle is over, and the date that the winner will be drawn and announced. It becomes illegal only if I do not follow through. XD (And I certainly do plan to follow through! ^^)

I'm sorry that they are illegal where you are. >_< IMHO, that totally bites! Because I really love raffles, I find them to be fun and exciting!
