A Suggestion?

Of course this is ripped right from YNA. They had a comment rating system that I loved.

So this is a suggestion. if you folks already have this on the list of things to-do then never me mind. ;)

One idea would be to allow the artist to rate comments on their pieces (if it were helpful, derogatory, flame-baiting, Useful, etc. ). The other is to offer the registered artists (those who have Galleries) to offer crits on the actual crit comments. :) Or to rate randomly selected comments for usefulness. :)

I mean it is nice to get "OMG that is so cool" in one's Gallery, but questions about materials, use, style, how-to queries, and comments and crits on what is drawn should be rewarded in some way. IMO.

This has actually come up amongst the staff as well. :) There is a good chance something like this will be done.

They could be handled in the way that some sites do them, by rating comments up they change color or become bolder. And by rating comments down they go a little transparent, so you can scope over the comments list and see which ones are gems and which are just "omg I love it".
