Advise on current works and style. Is it better than amateur?

Truth be told, I applied a few weeks back but I haven't heard anything in response. I'm not sure if the e-mail was lost in my spam filter or if it just never came.

Regardless, I'm at a stage where I can't seem to enjoy my style. As a result I tend to think my pieces are amateur, lifeless, drab and dull. Though others beg to differ.

I suppose I'll leave the decision to you, whomever wishes to give their two pennies worth.
