Commissions link failure - Drakenhart

Okay seems to have been fixed maybe? Don't know?

But I did notice, while browsing through the "A" to see who had Galleries that I knew to +watch them, that the "to-do" link on the bottom of the commissions page doesn't work for mine (new artist) versus another's that has a blue star.

http://drakenhart.artspots.com/commission/todo

vs

http://airu.artspots.com/commission/todo

And how does one edit their "Comission Terms?" I can find it.

This may be of the similar issue I noted above?

Could be a bug that may be related to Compagnon vs non? Originally before the merger you could only offer commissions if you had a Gallery on Artspots.

Maybe there is a co-incidence somewhere, where the code is interpreting it like this?

I had the same issue on mine (did a test) and on others as well. ;)

A questions on the "views" rating. - Drakenhart

*chuckles* I apparently wasn't clear. *laughs at self* Silly me.

Good answer though to something I hadn't even thought abuot. Its good to know! :)

I didn't mean that view "rating". ;) That is kind of obvious. *chuckles*

What I meant to ask about was the "popularity" ratings (number of views) that you can see under the Gallery stats when one is logged in to one's "home page". The listing of numbers that suggest how many times the image has been seen (viewed), fave'd, and commented on.

Does that /also/ take into account those who load up the Artist-Listing page? (IE everytime the image is "loaded" versus actually clicked on.

I ask this because I have to wonder if the results I'm seeing are not entirely accurate? More in that, who is actually -looking- at the image itself (on its own page) versus browsing past it while looking for artists?

IE: Unique clicks, to put it a bit more technically.

Is that clearer? Cause I think I confused myself a bit. ;) *chuckles*

Yes. The view rating (G, PG, PG13) filter all images from the site, no matter where they might turn up. Recents, Artists list, searches, etc. It is if the images that are above your rating don't exist.

Does the 'view' rating count for images that show up under the "Artists" listing? Even if they are themselves not clicked on (actually viewed)?

So I was blocking some stuff on recent uploads today (sorry, I'm not too jazzed about this merger thus far...). When I'd hit a skull, I'd be properly redirected to the "blocking" page. However, all the title links on this blocking page, even though the banner says "ArtSpots", when clicked redirect you to JaxPad!

I didn't realize this at first, so simply clicked on the 'recent' tab on the block page to (I thought) go back to AS recent. Well, that link brought me to JaxPad instead! And before I noticed the different banner, I got mighty confused that all the skulls I'd just doled out apparently weren't working!! I thought the sites had been officially merged, but I guess that'd not the case. Might wanna look into fixing this!

No worries - it is new to everyone right now. A few days ago, there were no stars! :) We are all figuring out what the new way of doing things is, after this merge.

Well it looks like you've got the title right there (blue star, compagnon) - if you haven't noticed, they are updating the site, merging it with Jaxpad at this moment, and so they've a lot on their hands working out how the new setup should be. Definitely give it a few days.

Just hold tight a little longer, with everybody back now they should start getting cleared :) It has been admitted it is a long winded process due to the sheer volume that goes through but I'll see if I can get hold of somebody to ask.

I unchecked the "show in recent uploads" box and the images are still showing up in recents.

Couple of things.. - Babbage C. Cheetah

Good suggestions, each.

First, yes that would be good to add in, the next/last. Either put it in the text and get rid of the arrows, or get rid of the text and add a 'fast-forward' last arrow so that it is more 'natural' positioning. Either way, this does need to change.

Second, this is a somewhat moot point now because of the site merger. (There was a news announcement earlier, and I've been patching things up here and there throughout the day to get things flowing smoothly. There's more changes to come, a larger update that is going to go out. Just that we wanted these particular changes to happen during Anthrocon.) Although I do agree, regardless. :)

Third, see number two. This is an issue that was very, very difficult to solve. We came up with a couple solutions (just two), but neither was very intuitive or secure. Now that it's all 'one site' logging in on both is no longer required. Just ArtSpots will work from now on.

There is an upcoming announcement at some point of changes but I'm sure Babbage will pop up in the meantime to have a look :)

Couple of things.. - Radioactive Chicken

Main thing is on the recents page. You have the page numbers at the bottom with the big forward and back arrows at the far right and left of the page. After the numbers you just have the option to go to the last page and I repeatedly keep looking down there for a "next" to click on.
It's what I'm used to on other sites and no matter how many times I come here I still go to use that non-existant link instead of the big arrows. Any chance of adding that in?

Secondly when you view Jaxpad instead of Artspots there is no library section. Seems like the suggested reading would be good if not more suited to the artists registered on Jaxpad.

Thirdly I think someone may have asked this before in the distant past but I can't remember what the answer was. Why do we have to log in separately to Artspots and Jaxpad? If I log into one it would be nice if it automatically logged me into the other site.

They are only niggly things but thought I'd mention them anyway.

But since it is a 'quality' site, the application process is much like a portfolio review. :) See the "Apply Button". It explains it better.

Some of us have been waiting a while, and were wondering what happened? Even if it is merely an update or a notice, saying "hey we are here, and we are getting to them as fast as possible!" :)

1. The volume discount is for all pieces, they do not all have to be the same piece.

2. One week is the usual turnaround time for large orders, plus shipping.

3. Yes. Just send it to the address under 'Contact Us'
